You're welcome to bring your own rootstocks and scion wood to graft your own trees, or to use ours, which we hope will keep a few Derbyshire varieties going! Do bear in mind if you use ours you don’t get to take it home!

An informative and practical two-hour apple grafting workshop led by Mel and Dave, key founder members of LHAP (Leicestershire Horticultural Artisans and Practitioners). With over 20 years of experience under Mel's belt and 8 years under Dave's, this workshop is tailored for those new to the art of grafting.
π± Understanding the Basics:
Mel and Dave will delve into the fundamentals of grafting, covering the 'why' and 'how' behind this age-old technique. Two proven grafting methods will be explored, followed by a practical session using scrap wood to hone your skills.

Gain confidence in grafting as you create your own apple trees during the workshop. This practical experience will equip you with the skills to graft new apple trees, modify existing cultivars, or construct a family tree with multiple cultivars.
